My story on cultured meat, Please Don't Call This Cultured Nugget 'Lab Meat' for Popular Mechanics, won the 2020 ASJA award in the Food & Beverage category. I'm also a founder and managing editor of the science communications project SciMoms. I'm especially interested in books that touch on animal agriculture, animal welfare and animal rights as well as the vegan food movement.
