About Su Min Kim

I am an independent scholar of English, French, and German literature. I research the intersection of literature and the history of mathematics. I am a Korean by birth but I have lived in the Philippines, the UK, and Singapore. Growing up in different countries helped me to look beyond the literature, language, and culture of one nation. I am also an aspiring writer of fiction, and I enjoy art and music in my spare time.

Su Min Kim is an independent scholar of nineteenth-century British literature. Her research focuses on the intersections of literary and mathematical history in nineteenth-century Europe. She is also a freelance writer and polyglot. For more conversations on her research, writing, and foreign languages, contact her at sumin.kim@u.nus.edu.
