About Bing Wang
I have recently finished my PhD in Heritage Studies at the University of Leeds. My research is to explore Hakka identity through autoethnographic writing reflecting on my visits to different Hakka heritage sites in Mainland China and Taiwan. I also briefly touched upon the discourse of the Chinese diaspora regarding the Hakka population. I am generally interested in identity politics in East Asian areas.Bing Wang received her PhD at the University of Leeds in 2020. Her research interests include the exploration of overseas Chinese cultural identity and critical heritage studies.
