Bridgette R. Alexander, "Southern Gothic: A Celine Caldwell Mystery" (Paris 1865 Press, 2016)

Summary

Southern Gothic: A Celine Caldwell Mystery (Paris 1865 Press, 2016) and Sons of Liberty, which will be published in Spring 2017, are the first Celine Caldwell Mystery series books in what will be a 12-book series for teens by author and art historian, Bridgette R. Alexander. The books feature a diverse and fascinating cast of characters, and provide an insiders view of the rarified art world. Alexanders characters meet collectors, curators, well-heeled donors, financiers and many others for whom art is central to their lives. In the course of each story, Alexander provides beautifully enriching details about art history and the contemporary world of art, and also shares her wealth of knowledge about the language of art, how to read a painting, and the story behind pieces of art that are featured.
