About Roland Clark

Dr Roland Clark is a Senior Lecturer in Modern European History at the University of Liverpool, a Senior Fellow with the Centre for Analysis of the Radical Right, and the Principal Investigator of an AHRC-funded project on European Fascist Movements. He is also the current President of the Society of Romanian Studies. Clark has written Holy Legionary Youth: Fascist Activism in Interwar Romania (Cornell University Press, 2015), Sectarianism and Renewal in 1920s Romania: The Limits of Orthodoxy and Nation-Building (Bloomsbury, 2021), and numerous journal articles and book chapters. His interests include fascism, lived religion, the Holocaust, gender, and student movements.
