About Jessica Georges

Jessica Georges is a third year history PhD student at the CUNY Graduate Center. Her research focuses on race and nationalism in the early republic. She is currently at work on a project that explores the African colonization movement in New York during the 18th and 19th centuries. Jessica is a programing assistant at the Gotham Center for New York City History where she gets to research and promote New York City’s history and its undeniable impact on the nation and world.
