About Kelvin Chan

I’m a PhD Candidate in History at McGill University. My research interests are Chinese migration, Asian American studies, history of medicine and in particular history of mental illness. My dissertation will cover the genealogy of chinese mental illness in places like Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Vancouver and San Francisco.

Kelvin Chan is a PhD Candidate at McGill University. His PhD dissertation focuses on the history of psychiatry and mental health care in colonial Hong Kong.
