About Avery Weinman

Avery Weinman is a PhD student in the UCLA Department of History. Generally, she researches Jewish history in the modern Middle East and North Africa. Specifically, she researched Sephardi and Mizrahi youth who joined the Zionist underground during the British Mandate in Palestine. Her fields include: modern Jewish history, the history of the modern Middle East and North Africa, Israel-Palestine Studies, Sephardi/Mizrahi Studies, and the intellectual history of Zionism.

Avery Weinman is a PhD student in History at the University of California, Los Angeles. She researches Jewish history in the modern Middle East and North Africa, with emphasis on Sephardi and Mizrahi radicals in British Mandatory Palestine. She can be reached at averyweinman@ucla.edu.
