Brady McCartney is a scholar of religion, the environment, and history in the United States, with a particular focus on the Southwest. His work is deeply interdisciplinary, bridging the fields of American studies, Indigenous studies, and political studies. Brady has taught at the University of New Mexico and multiple Bard College campuses, co-founded three educational institutions—two college campuses and one high school, and served on the boards of three non-profit organizations. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Religion and Environmental History at the University of Florida and serving as Copy Editor for the "Journal for the Study of Religion, Nature and Culture."
