About Lea Greenberg

I am a scholar of German studies with a particular focus on German Jewish and Yiddish literature and culture; critical gender studies; multilingualism; and literature of the post-Yugoslav diaspora. In May 2021, I received my Ph.D. from the Carolina-Duke Graduate Program in German Studies with a dissertation on the daughter figure as the corporeal and social gatekeeper in German Jewish and Yiddish literature. I am now a Visiting Assistant Professor at Knox College in Illinois, teaching German language and German Jewish literature and culture.
