My name is Valentina Ramia, I am a PhD candidate in anthropology at Stanford University. My work is on how fear is interpreted in asylum law in the US. I mostly work with Latin American asylum seekers' cases to understand how is it that an emotion is made into a legal object. I am also very much interested in literary studies, comic studies, and history of ideas.
