Historian Tim Bouverie, the renowned author of the very well received Appeasement, gives us another brilliant history Allies at War: How the Struggles Between the Allied Powers Shaped the War and the World (Crown, 2025). This time exploring the diplomatic history of the Allied Powers during the Second World War. This being the second in a planned trilogy of diplomatic histories from the early Nineteen-Thirties to the early years of the Cold War. A work of history, which if completed will stand comparison with the brilliant, two volume treatment of the late Zara Steiner.
