Partner with the NBN

The New Book Network’s mission is public education of the bookish sort. We want to bring news about good books to curious people who might want to know what’s in them, who might want to get them out of the library, or who might want to buy them. We need partners to help us accomplish this mission. If you or your organization believes in public education and, more specifically, if you or your organization believes that what’s in books deserves to be better known than it is, then we’d like to have you on board.

Our Audience: The NBN Community

The NBN is the largest book podcast in the world both in terms of audience size and book coverage. We reach over 750,000 listeners every month. Those listeners download two to four million episodes a month, meaning that we reach our listeners several times each month. Who are they? They are curious, educated, affluent readers interested in the world and what goes on in it.

We can help you reach these people and in a very compelling way. Research shows that podcast messaging is particularly effective in motivating people to take action. It’s not hard to understand why. NBN listeners opt-in; they have made a conscious decision to subscribe, download or stream the content. They–the NBN Community–want to hear what is being said. NBN listeners think nothing–and even appreciate–hearing a relevant message from an NBN partner, a partner who shares the NBN’s mission. And they will always hear it because it’s right there at the beginning of the program.

We can, then, regularly and effectively send your message to a quarter of a million listeners. But we can also send your message to a very targeted portion that audience. The NBN is made up over 100 subject-specific “channels,” each of which has its own hosts, feeds (iTunes, RSS, email alert) webpages, and social media assets (Facebook pages, Twitter feeds). Every NBN channels is essentially an independent podcast with a distinct and self-selecting audience. We “narrowcast” to these 100+ audiences. You can pick one, or a group of them. It’s up to you.
