In her book, What You Are Getting Wrong About Appalachia (Belt Publishing, 2018), Elizabeth Catte presents a more complete look at a region that is regularly subject to ridicule and derision. In this interview, she balances some of the more obvious traits of Appalachia with other characteristics that presents a more developed look at the area.
