About Luca Anceschi

I have 20 years of direct experience with academic engagement with Central Asia. My research looks at how authoritarian politics shapes decision-making in post-Soviet Central Asia, particularly Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. My teaching portfolio ranges widely across a number of subjects related to the politics of post-Soviet Eurasia. As the Editor of Europe-Asia Studies--the world's leading scholarly journal for the study of Russia, Eastern Europe and Eurasia--I contribute to shape cutting-edge trends in academic publishing.

Luca Anceschi is Professor of Eurasian Studies at the University of Glasgow, where he also edits Europe-Asia Studies.
