Bruno is a PhD candidate in Asian Literature, Religion & Culture at Cornell University, and a Ho Family Foundation Dissertation Fellow in Buddhist Studies. His research operates at the intersection of Buddhist studies, gender theory (particularly comparative masculinities) and the history of political thought, and his dissertation focuses on the textual and material culture of Polonnaruva, Sri Lanka, c. 1150-1215.
