Summary

Alice Wu's debut feature, Saving Face, is a three-generation romantic comedy set in today's Chinatown in Queens, New York. Wu won the Visionary Award at the San Diego Asian Film Festival and the Audience Award for Best Narrative at the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival for her feature. In 2020 Netflix released her new feature, The Half of It, which won the Founders Award for Best Narrative Feature at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival.

Ulrich Baer is University Professor at New York University where he teaches literature and photography, and writes frequently about photography, art, literature, and other subjects. He is also the host of the podcast “Think About It” and editorial director at Warbler Press. Caroline Weber is a specialist of French literature, history, and culture.
