About Nicholas McCay

Nicholas McCay is a boundary-spanning socio-technical researcher and content creator who bridges the worlds of science, technology, and society. He recently completed his MA in 'Responsibility in Engineering, Science, and Technology' (RESET) from the Technical University of Munich, where he explored how innovation can serve communities while respecting their unique cultures and traditions. His academic work, including an ethnographic film, examined the intersection of technological advancement and social responsibility, particularly through his thesis research on communitarian innovation in Chattanooga, TN, USA. Liminal Library is a weekly podcast that bridges academic research and public understanding, exploring the ideas that live at the edges of disciplines. His media venture, Eclectic Spacewalk Productions, bridges complex technological systems with human understanding through multimedia explorations of the ideas shaping our collective future. Beyond academia, he has spent over a decade producing creative content and managing experiential marketing campaigns for major brands like Nike and Samsung, giving him a deep understanding of how to translate complex ideas into engaging narratives. When Nicholas isn't working, you'll find him playing soccer, exploring new cities, or diving into discussions about space exploration and ecological conservation.
