My name is Craig Gill, and I am a researcher and writer based in Vancouver BC. I hold a PhD in History from UNC - Chapel Hill and recently published my first book, *Caddying on the Color Line*, a history of black golf caddies in the American South. I have a deep interest in the history of sport and culture and the history of daily life, especially in the U.S. South. I am a fan of the NBN programming but see a need for more coverage of sports outside of the "big-time" sports (baseball, football, basketball). There is lots of great work being done in other fields (golf, tennis, track and field, hockey, lacrosse etc.) and would love to help contribute to the important educational work that the NBN does on that front.
