About Diki Sherpa

Diki Sherpa is a PhD candidate at the Chinese university of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. She completed her M.Phil from the University of Delhi, India. She learnt mandarin at National Chengchi University for a year with generous support from the Ministry of Education, Taiwan. Her research broadly focuses on the local governance in early colonial Hong Kong. It attempts to draw inter-connection and linkages with other colonial sites. She is interested in Hong Kong history, South Asian history, British Imperial and Global history.
