About Sarah Vogelsanger

My name is Sarah Vogelsanger, she/her, and I am currently pursuing my MSc in Environment, Politics and Development at SOAS University in London. I focus mainly on feminist political ecology and critical geography with topics in forced migration as well as agriculture. Originally, I am from Switzerland and completed my bachelor's degree in Geography with the two minors in Economics and Agricultural Economics at the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich.

I discovered my passion for academia during my two research assistant job: I was part of the Agricultural Policy and Economics Group at the ETH Zurich where I was handling tasks such as analysing geographic information data, literature reviews and blog posts. Additionally, I worked for the Economic Geography Group at the University of Zurich assisting in the research on global pesticide markets. Following this, I joined the Climate Finance Group of UNEP in Geneva for five months as an intern. There, I gained valuable insight into one of the largest international organisations as well as how work in such organisations is organised.
