I am a public high school geography/social science teacher, writer, poet and casual academic. I value myself as a public intellectual, characterised primarily by the work I do as a teacher which I see as being inextricably linked to my engagement as an academic, presently and in the future. I am a "career-changer", previously I worked in financial regulation and other such work. I enjoy reading, writing and studying, and I hope to complete a PhD working on the nexus between education, abolition geography and liberation movements.
I am originally from Sydney, Australia but have moved to London, England, pending a 3-month trip travelling through the Caribbean and Central America - so, between permanent residency.
