About Megan Finn

Since 2023, I have been an associate professor in the communication studies division at American University where I teach in a program called Media, Technology, and Democracy. Before that, for nine years, I was an assistant professor (2014-2021), then an associate professor (2021-2023) at University of Washington’s School of Information. My research is focused on history of disasters and technology governance. I am hosting with NBN because I am excited to serve my research community in STS, communication and media studies, and beyond.
