About Beth Bouloukos

Beth Bouloukos attended Hamilton College where she was given the tools to develop a love of reading, writing, and the humanities. She then received her doctorate from Cornell University where she researched Latin American literature, film, and culture through a feminist lens. She has also served as a visiting assistant professor at Fairfield University and the University at Albany, SUNY. Before beginning at Amherst College and Lever Presses, she acquired books in education, Latin American/Latinx studies, and gender and sexuality studies at SUNY Press. The books she acquired at SUNY Press won awards from the Latin American Studies Association, the Publishing Triangle, Next Generation Indie, Lambda Literary, among others. She is particularly interested in projects that link theory to praxis and that give a platform to marginalized voices and understudied topics. She loves dogs and food, probably both a little too much for her own good.
