About Asia Adomanis

My name is Asia Adomanis. I’m a PhD Candidate in the Department of History of Art at The Ohio State University studying twentieth-century American art with a focus on Asian American artists. My dissertation project considers the role that race played in the public and critical reception of art in the mid-century American art world through case studies of Chinese American artists. Some of my other areas of research interest include (global) modernism, abstraction, and the relationship between art, race, and politics. Beyond the History of Art, I also have interdisciplinary interests in Critical Race/Ethnic Studies.
Asia Adomanis is a PhD student in the Department of History of Art at Ohio State.
