About Rachel Stuart

I am a PhD researcher at the University of Kent and I am just completing my PhD on webcamming as a form of sexual commerce. At the same time as working on my thesis, I have been involved in several pieces of research with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and The Doctors of The World. Both these pieces of research looked at the experiences of street women around policing - a real juxtaposition with my thesis research of a form of legitimate sex work. I am interested in the aspects of sexuality and sex work that fall outside the binaries of exploitation and liberation and use this space as one where areas that fall outside the everyday discourses can be explored

Rachel Stuart is a sex work researcher whose primary interest is the lived experiences of sex workers.
