About Bruce Shapiro

I am a recently retired university professor. In the USA, I was a professor of theater at several universities, primarily in the areas of drama, directing and acting. I emigrated to Australian in the mid 1990s and was the Head of Performance at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne, and subsequently worked as a dialogue coach for dozens of American films. I returned to academia as a professor of English, theater and film in Taiwan in 2008. I am the author of several books, three about the theater and one work of fiction.
