I am a Lecturer in 20th and 21st Century Literature (UK equivalent to Asst. Prof.) in the School of Critical Studies at the University of Glasgow. My research focuses on the relationship between climate, race, and popular culture. My current book project traces an alternative history of environmentalism through African American literature and music. In addition to my academic interests,
