About Benjamin Puterbaugh

I am a PhD candidate in Applied Linguistics at the University of South Florida. I have taught Spanish, Linguistics, and ESL at USF. My interests within linguistics include sociolinguistics, linguistic anthropology, discourse analysis, and critical approaches. My research interests include raciolinguistics, Spanish, Haitian Creole, CDA, etc. Aside from the Language channel, I would be interested in Latin American Studies, Caribbean, Anthropology, and Critical Studies — all channels that I follow. I have really enjoyed listening to podcasts on the New Books Network because it is an opportunity to hear directly from the researcher/author.
