About Samuel Newton

I'm an assistant professor of law at the University of Idaho College of Law. I have practiced criminal law, including death penalty defense and appellate work before becoming a professor. I have a PhD in American history. I am interested in criminal law, American history, peace studies and nonviolent resistance. I've been listening to NBN for a while and enjoy the conversations!
