I am an Associate Professor in Political Science and International Studies at the University of Birmingham (UK) and Deputy Director of the Centre for Elections, Democracy, Accountability and Representation (CEDAR), which launched the People, Power, Politics podcast. I research questions of democracy, autocratization, institutional and regime transformations, at the intersection between comparative politics and comparative public policy.
