About Byung Ho Choi

My name is Byung Ho Choi and I am a Ph.D. Student from South Korea in the Department of History & Ecumenics, concentrating in World Christianity and history of religions at Princeton Theological Seminary. I grew up as a missionary-kid in Indonesia (lived in Indonesia for 12 years) and I was interested in the relations between religions, with fascinations in keywords such as inter-religious dialogue, religious violence, and conversion. My academic interest is in the scope of Indonesia and the Muslim dominant regions of Southeast Asia, from the postcolonial approach to Christianity and the coexistence of various religions, including the study of Christianity and the Islamic faith in a Muslim dominant society that includes challenges of ethnic diversity.
