I am a Doctoral Candidate at the Department of History, South Asia Institute, Universität Heidelberg, Germany. My research work is on the sounds of resistance in British India, with a special focus on the use of radio broadcasting in shaping anti-colonial mobilization in late colonial Bengal. It is a part of the DFG Project, “A Sonic Approach to Anti-Colonialism in India.” My research interests include sound studies, histories of technology, media history, and modern South Asia.
