About Dave Broucek

My interest is in the practice of Christian mission worldwide and in the academic study of mission, called Missiology, which explores the growth of the Christian movement from historical, sociological, anthropological, biblical and theological perspectives. I have been a participant observer in global mission for more than forty years. Along the way, in addition to my mission work, I served as Book Review Editor for Evangelical Missions Quarterly and taught in the Institute for Cross-Cultural Training (ICCT) at Wheaton College, Illinois. I very much enjoy listening to NBN interviews of all kinds as authors explain their research to a general audience, and I value the opportunity to host authors who are reflective practitioners of and critical thinkers about mission.
Dave Broucek is a retired cross-cultural missionary/coordinator of continuing education/international ministries director, having served on the staff of two faith-based nonprofits, The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM) and South America Mission (SAM). He holds a PhD in Intercultural Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Illinois.
