I'm a final year Critical Area Studies student with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe. My research has already spanned a number of areas. I've contributed to an ODI Global report on the use of drones in the Ukraine war, though my main research interest is on Russian activism, with a current project exploring activists contesting the state's mobilisation policy. This project has involved close co-operation with one of the leading scholars in the field. I also have a keen interest in Soviet and broader communist histrory and politics.
As I prepare for the next step in my career, I believe that hosting on the NBN would enhance my engagement with new and exciting works in these fields. I'd also hope to share with others some important books in my field of expertise that have yet to be featured on the NBN. Although I haven't yet graduated, I'm on course for a first-class honours degree from the University of Glasgow, and can provided an academic reference claiming my work is already at a postgraduate level. Saying this, as a longtime listener I'm keenly aware of the importance of expertise in providing engaging and insightful podcast episodes. I'd be sure to approach hosting with the same diligence and dedication as I have my studies.
Many thanks,
Adam
