About Jolie Ho

Jolie Ho is a PhD candidate in clinical psychology at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. Her research focuses on potential ways for socially anxious individuals to seek close connections with others, and their experiences of social reward. She also conducts research on social anxiety in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Outside of her own research, Jolie is interested in a variety of topics including psychotherapeutic processes, portrayal of mental health in the media, and motivation and self-regulation. In her spare time, Jolie enjoys exploring new classical music releases, long walks in nature, and following figure skating and tennis.
