Hi! I'm Jun Wei, an aspiring public historian, and History and Philosophy Senior at the University of Notre Dame. I'm primarily interested in intellectual history, political theory, and the history of economic thought.
I plan to pursue a JD/PhD to work on the international legal regulation of migrant labor. Specifically, I intend to focus on Indian indentured labor in the British colonial era (19th-20th century) and how immigration law was used to reformulate understandings of freedom and work. Outside of my research, I'm interested in liberal political philosophy, the uses and limits of ideal theory in political philosophy, and decision theory.
