About Adam Bobeck

I am a PhD candidate at the University of Leipzig studying cultural anthropology. I am about a year and half into my dissertation work at the moment. The dissertation looks at Shi'i Muharram rituals through the lens of Object-Oriented Ontology. For this reason, my academic interests generally converge at the meeting points of anthropology and philosophy. However, one of my side research areas for at least 15 years has been the Soviet Union and Central Asia, bringing history and politics also into my field of vision.

Adam Bobeck is a PhD candidate in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Leipzig. His PhD is entitled “Object-Oriented Azadari: Shi’i Muslim Rituals and Ontology”. For more about his work, see www.adambobeck.com.
