About Zachary Myers

I am a Bermudian PhD student in Caribbean History at the University of Cambridge. My research focuses on circum-Caribbean mobilities in the 19th-century 'Age of Emancipations'. Beyond this, my research interests include any and all aspects of Caribbean History and Caribbean Studies broadly conceived, Latin American History, Atlantic History, the British Empire, Black British History, Black Geographies, and histories of sexuality in the Caribbean. Prior to beginning my PhD, I completed an MA in Race, Ethnicity and Postcolonial Studies at University College London and worked in libraries, archives, and as a researcher investigating the legacies of British slavery in institutional contexts.
