Hi, I am Sohini. I received my PhD in History from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2023. I teach at University of San Francisco and Santa Clara University. My areas of research include South Asian history, World history, and Comparative Migration history. I am interested in a range of topics that includes stories of migration, oral histories, diasporic memories, identities, and forms of belongings. I am particularly interested in uncovering marginalized voices and bringing them under historical focus. I love to read, paint, and cook.
