Qing Shen received his PhD in cultural anthropology from Uppsala University, Sweden. His doctoral thesis titled "Queer Fun in Shanghai: the social lives of elderly working-class Chinese men" explores the linkage between play and queerness.
Qing Shen is a cultural anthropologist on queer, aging, and East Asia.
