Omar Victor Diop is a Senegalese photographer whose historical auto-portraits, where he places himself in settings and poses previously occupied by historical figures, have been exhibited around the world. Born in Dakar in 1980, Diop developed an interest in photography and design as a means to capture the diversity of modern African societies and lifestyles.
