About Michael LaMagna

Dr. Michael LaMagna is the Information Literacy Program & Library Services Coordinator and Professor of Library Services at Delaware County Community College. Previously, he served as the Coordinator of Electronic Resources at a small liberal arts college. Michael applies strategic foresight to his understanding of the possible and plausible futures for academic libraries and higher education. This helps to inform his research which centered on information access (collection development and open educational resources) and information literacy instruction program design (digital badges & microcredentials and synchronous instruction). Michael received his EdD in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University, MLS from St. John’s University, MA in History from Villanova University, and BA in History from Susquehanna University.
