About Danica Ramsey-Brimberg

I am an early medieval, interdisciplinary scholar who was recently awarded a PhD in History from the University of Liverpool in the UK. I have previously studied at Boston College (BA '13, MEd '14) and the University of York (MA '15). My interdisciplinary doctoral research focuses on the placement of Viking Age furnished burials in or near churchyards in the Irish Sea area in the ninth to eleventh centuries. My interests are primarily in the early medieval Atlantic Archipelago, as well as representations of the Viking Age in popular culture and the media. Through my podcast episodes, I hope to share my love of history and to make knowledge accessible to everyone.
Danica Ramsey-Brimberg is a multidisciplinary researcher, who is currently the Coordinator for Digital Engagement for the International Center of Medieval Art and an assistant editor for the journal, Church Archaeology.
